NOTE:
- All BMD Cats Listed for Adoption: Have been: Checked by a Vet; Desexed; Microchipped; Vaccinated (at least their first), and have received flea and worm treatment. They have also been cared for by dedicated volunteers, living with Foster Carers and their families, including other animals.
- BMD Cat Adoption Fees: Generally $260 per cat. If two cats are adopted together, the fee for each cat can be significantly reduced.

- BMD acknowledges that there are instances where individuals' circumstances change, and they are no longer able to provide care for their cats. While we do not have the capacity to house these pets or guarantee ongoing health support, we assist in the rehoming process by advertising them on our platforms as Cats for Assisted Rehoming to facilitate successful placements. Cat Adoption Process:
- To ensure a successful adoption experience and to meet the needs of both adopting families and the rescue cats, we kindly ask that you familiarise yourself with the BMD Cat Adoption Process. By doing so, you will be better informed and prepared for the responsibilities and requirements involved in providing a loving forever home. As a small volunteer-run charity with limited resources, this helps us to allocate our efforts effectively. Most importantly, it ensures that rescue cats find the prepared, suitable, and caring homes and families they truly deserve.
Adoption Pending:
- During the meet and greet period with potential adopting families, cats and kittens are identified as "Adoption Pending." This signifies that they are in the process of being adopted. The Adoption Pending status concludes once all necessary paperwork and adoption fees are finalised. The length of this period may vary to ensure that both families and cats can settle in and experience a happy adoption.
Adopted:
- To ensure the well-being of recently adopted rescue cats and kittens, they will remain listed until they are settled and content in their new forever homes. We understand that circumstances can change, and we strive to ensure the success and happiness of each adoption.
